Dear SCGS Members and Family History Friends,
Your Century Club contributions matter!
Isn’t it great to be able to attend genealogy group meetings online and in person, and research using our remote subscription databases? You can also now find many of our books available digitally through our online library catalog. During COVID, we have made many improvements for our members who do not live close to the library. But now that the SCGS library is open again during our normal business hours, we are trying to update our library to make it more inviting and to have more space for in-house day long conferences.
Thanks to your generous donations, we have begun to implement many improvements to our services but more are coming. Because of inflation and increases in speaker and convention costs along with COVID-related concerns, we are rethinking our annual Jamboree convention which in the past contributed very positively to our bottom line. That is why we are trying to improve our current facility to have multiple, smaller conferences in the library.
In the coming year, we look forward to developing new programs and features for our members including more classes for beginner and advanced beginner genealogists.
Our donation campaign for the upcoming year starts November 1. Any donation that you make will go directly to the General Fund to enable us to offer new and improved services and cover all operating costs. Of course, we want to hear your and comments and ideas about future directions for SCGS.
Here are ways you can help:
Please show us your support by donating today. Every donation makes a difference.
We look forward to serving you for years to come.
